Biography
Jackson Pollock was born in Cody, Wyoming, January 28th, 1912 and grew up in California. He lived with his five brothers and farmer father as well as his mother. He was the youngest of five brothers. Jackson grew up on a farm and one of his jobs around the farm was milking the cows. He also plowed and cut the Alfalfa.
He loved to draw and was inspired by his elder brother to become an artist.

He enjoyed this kind of art and soon found out it was called action painting. He then finally got into Manual Arts High School. When he finished college he married Lee Krasner who was also an artist.
Works With his talent of action painting he made several interesting paintings such as Mural, Lavender Mist, Moby Dick, and Painting. He made all these wonderful art pieces with ground up glass and sand, watery paint, and etc. His work was very abstract and unique. His success did not last long. He soon began to get nervous break down from all the pressure and this lead to wife abusing and drinking. Soon after this he died in August 11th, 1956, at age 44 in a car accident.
