Biography

Gary Kulesha was born in 1954 in Toronto. He lived in Canada for all of his childhood. He is a famous Canadian composer he studied in the Royal Conservatory.  He was a good pupil of William A. Andrews and Samuel Dolin. Gary also studied with John McCabe. Gary  also studied with John Corigliano. For his early work, he was a music teacher at middle schools.

Gary was appointed a composer in 1988. He is Know as one of the more active composers in Canada. He is mainly a composer but can play a variety of instruments including the piano. He has received many awards for his pieces The Red Emma, The Gates of Time, and The Last Duel including the NACO award in 2002 and the Juno award in 1990. He is known as Canada’s most active composer.

Gary Kulesha is mostly a composer but plays the piano. He is mostly a composer, but is also a pianist, conductor and teacher. In 1988, he was appointed to be the Composer for the Kitchner-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra.  He continued there until 1992. In 1995, he became the Composer-Advisor to the Toronto Symphony. On March 19, 2002, Mr. Kulesha is one of three composers awarded the first National Arts Centre Orchestra Composer Award. Gary Kulesha lives in Toronto with his wife, composer Larysa Kuzmenko. He is now teaching in university of Toronto. His musicals are performed around the world.

Gary Kulesha is know to be a very good composer because he is a hard worker and he work on his duties and makes the job look easy. In 2004 he was one of the Third top composers. He is one of the greatest composers in the world. He is always willing to help other people and works as hard as he can.
