Vegetable stand at the General Store:
Growing and selling garden vegetables to miners was very profitable.

A. Good try; but scurvy is not "gold fever." Scurvy is a disease that afflicted some miners and sailors. It was often difficult for them to get enough fresh fruits and vegetables. The resultant lack of vitamin C in their diets caused scurvy, which disabled and killed many. Be sure to eat your fruits and vegetables every day!
